Celebrating The Heart of Our Schools

September was a month of celebration at Communities In Schools as we recognized Site Coordinator Appreciation Week (September 14-18).

To celebrate, our team visited all 30 campuses to deliver treats and thank the dedicated staff who work every day to support students. What we found during those visits was a powerful reminder of the many roles our Site Coordinators fill.

Some were helping watch a classroom. Others were leading small group interventions, assisting students during a fire drill, organizing clothing closets, or preparing for an open house resource fair. No two days look the same, but each day is centered on one goal: ensuring students have the support they need to succeed.

This year, we were especially proud to celebrate Carol Hesbrook, who marked an incredible 34 years of service with Communities In Schools. Carol's commitment reflects the heart that our Site Coordinators bring to their work every day and what commitment to students really looks like.

As we reflect on Site Coordinator Appreciation Week, we are reminded how fortunate our schools are to have individuals who are fully present for students, families, and staff when they need them most.

How You Can Support Our Site Coordinators

If you would like to honor the incredible work of our Site Coordinators, there are several ways to make a difference:

Together, we can ensure our Site Coordinators have the resources they need to continue changing lives, one student at a time.

Thank you to our Site Coordinators for being the heart of our mission and champions for student success every day.
