Partnering with Chick-fil-A To Build Future Leaders at La Vega High School

When people think about the students we serve through our campus programs, they often picture support that only goes towards assisting students. Thanks to a recent partnership with Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, site coordinator, Gracemarie Rodriguez is bringing opportunities for students to learn leadership skills that put them in the driver’s seat to give back to the community.

On September 24, 2026, 35 La Vega High School students celebrated the kickoff of a new partnership with Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, coordinated by CISHOT. This group of students have signed up for quite the adventure. Each phase of the Chick fil-A Leader Academy curriculum offers training through action, where students will have the ability to learn by doing, which is great for the students as they look to the future, as well as the community as a whole

The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy is designed to help students explore what leadership looks like through action. Through hands-on service projects and community engagement opportunities, students learn that leadership is not about a title. It is about making a difference and creating positive change in the community around them.

Programs like this help students think beyond their immediate surroundings and recognize the impact they can have on the broader community. They empower young people to become leaders who are engaged, compassionate, and committed to making a difference.

We are incredibly grateful to Gracemarie for bringing this opportunity to La Vega High School and for her commitment to helping students grow through experiences that inspire purpose and action. As this program begins, we cannot wait to see the impact these students will make and the lessons they will learn along the way.

If you would like to support opportunities like the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy and the many programs helping students succeed across our campuses, we would love to connect with you. Whether through a donation or a community partnership, your support helps us create experiences that empower students to grow, lead, and thrive. Together, we are not just helping students navigate challenges. We are helping them discover their potential and become the leaders our community needs.
